    National test scores released late last month painted a bleak picture of academic recovery for both Texas and the U.S. following the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown that began in 2020. But researchers found that there were positive signs for individual districts. The 2025 Education Recovery Scorecard released on Tuesday listed more than 100 districts nationwide that returned to pre-pandemic levels in both math and reading, including nearly a dozen districts in Texas.
