Hello everyone,
We're excited to invite all ATPE members to the 45th Annual Meeting of the ATPE House of Delegates (HOD), happening July 8 during the 2025 ATPE Summit in downtown Austin! As the centerpiece of ATPE's member-governed structure, the HOD plays a vital role in shaping the future of our association.
Check out the full HOD preview on atpenews.org.
So, what is the House of Delegates, and why does it matter? The HOD is a unique opportunity for ATPE members-from professional and administrator members to college students and retirees-to come together and make key decisions about our leadership and legislative priorities. At this meeting, delegates will elect ATPE's 2025–26 state officers and vote on updates to the ATPE Legislative Program, which guides the association's advocacy work at the Capitol and beyond.
This year's HOD agenda includes reports from ATPE's Resolutions and Legislative committees, a financial update, and of course, elections for our new state officers. Delegates also have a chance to prefile business for the assembly—a valuable way to bring forward new ideas and priorities for ATPE's future.
If you've served as an ATPE delegate before, what advice would you give to someone attending their first HOD meeting? Or if you're new, what questions do you have about the process?
