Hello there,
In our most recent Member Spotlight on atpenews.org, we highlight Vicki Rowe of Taylor ISD, who was recently honored with the H-E-B Lifetime Achievement Award after 42 years in the classroom. Known as "Yoda" to her students and colleagues, Vicki has built a career grounded in academic excellence, strong relationships, and a passion for helping students believe in themselves.
From her early days in Minnesota to her long-standing role at Taylor High School, Vicki has made a lasting impact by creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, challenged, and supported. Whether through Academic Decathlon, AP English, or her inspiring "Where Are They Now?" alumni wall, her commitment to student growth is clear.
Vicki believes that strong relationships are the foundation of great teaching. What is one meaningful connection you have made with a student that continues to inspire you?
